Tierhof Marzahn training and teaching farm is a historic farm from more than 250 years ago, which today serves as a place of learning and education for sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry.
- Experience animals up close 🐴 – On the premises and the adjacent pastures, you can observe horses, sheep, ducks, rabbits, chickens, and other livestock, and learn more about species-appropriate husbandry.
- Pony rides and visit offers 🐎 – The animal farm offers regular visiting events, including pony rides for children.
- Historical agricultural machines – A park not far from the farm showcases old machines from agriculture and thus conveys a piece of agricultural history.
- Cereal teaching garden 🌾 – Learn about the different types of grain that are native to the Mark Brandenburg.
- Internships for students – The animal farm offers the opportunity to complete an internship and actively participate in agriculture.
- Voluntary ecological year – Young people can engage for a year and participate in the breeding and preservation of endangered regional livestock breeds.
- International work camp – Once a year, the animal farm invites to an international work camp.
- Specialized library 📚 – A comprehensive collection on agricultural sciences, biology, ecology, veterinary medicine, and animal breeding is open to all interested parties.
The animal farm is located at the northern tip of the old Angerdorf Marzahn and borders directly on the Bockwindmühle, one of the well-known sights of the district.
