The bathing area Sandhauser Straße is a natural bathing spot on the Oberhavel in the north of Berlin, directly on the eastern bank in Reinickendorf.
- Swimming and Bathing 🏊 – The bathing water Oberhavel is regularly monitored from April to September and has excellent water quality based on measurements from the last four years.
- Natural Surroundings 🌳 – Large parts of the eastern bank are protected green areas; to the west, the bathing area borders the access to Tegeler Forest.
- Fishing Water and Angling Spot 🎣 – The Oberhavel is continuously a fishing water and angling spot.
- Untended Bathing Area – The spot offers a natural access without infrastructure or management.
The water quality is regularly monitored by the State Center for Health through sampling every two weeks. The Oberhavel is also a federal waterway and is used for drinking water extraction by three surrounding waterworks.
